Founded in Lithuania in 2015, Modulina Straw Panels plays a pioneering role in the development of innovative timber construction systems. Although Modulina was not the first company to launch straw-insulated modules on the market, it made a significant contribution to their further development. Company founder Žilvinas Bitinas recognised the potential of the new construction method and succeeded in improving and expanding the existing concept. His company developed a new production line that enabled the manufacture of larger and more versatile modules. Unlike the original version, Modulina’s modules can be used not only for exterior walls, but also for roof and ceiling elements. The flexible response to the needs of the construction industry is reflected not only in an extended range of applications, but also in the greater geometric variety. The company manufactures its modules customised in various thicknesses and sizes to meet the different structural requirements and thermal insulation standards. Strict quality control also ensures that Modulina modules meet the highest standards of durability and performance. In order to guarantee the regional origin of the raw materials and short transport routes, the opening of further production facilities in Europe is planned for 2025/26
