On July 10–11, the key international event dedicated to Ukraine’s reconstruction — the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 (URC2025) — will take place in Rome.

Organized by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, URC2025 is the largest and highest-level platform for stakeholders worldwide to exchange results, insights, and innovations in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
This is a closed-door event, and participation is highly selective — with delegates chosen from thousands of applicants based on their demonstrated impact and relevance.
We are proud to announce that Modulina Straw Panels has been selected to represent green building technologies at URC2025. Our prefabricated straw panel system offers a breakthrough in reducing the massive CO₂ emissions typically associated with traditional construction. Our technology reimagines straw — an abundant agricultural by-product in Ukraine — as a sustainable, circular building material, processed in mobile factories and assembled directly on-site, minimizing transport and construction waste.
Although Modulina is a Lithuanian-based company, we have been a steadfast ally of Ukraine since the onset of the war. Alongside our partners FIABCI-Ukraine NGO and Synchro Space — a hub for urban and community innovation — we co-initiated the Rebuild Green 2030 program, which is already active in four Ukrainian municipalities.
Our projects include:
- Common Ground in Severynivka, currently under construction, in partnership with Budmo Team and architect Nicolas Ziesel (KOZ)
- Eco-Housing Village in Teofipol for an industrial park, relocated businesses, and refugees — with support from the architects Thomas Dimov (Zoe Circular Building) and Andreas Binkert (2000-Watt Smart Cities Association)
- A Veterans’ Training and Rehabilitation Center in Apostolove, developed with the Mangini team led by the Italian hackathon team led by Sergio Grazioli and the international ABCU team from the Netherlands, led by Mike Deveria
Together with our Lithuanian collaborators as 2L Architects and BTInvest, we also been the part of the received New European Bauhaus “Co-create” grant, which now supports the Bucha Forest Classroom, currently under construction and scheduled to open this school year.
Further projects — including public buildings, educational facilities, and affordable housing — are currently in negotiation. What began as a green building initiative in 2023 has now matured into a comprehensive, long-term program to “Rebuild Ukrainian Cities Green”, with a roadmap through 2030 and beyond.
At URC2025, we welcome all conversations around cooperation, co-financing, pilot implementation, and knowledge exchange. We also invite you to our side event organized under the Rebuild Green 2030 program, which will bring together contech and proptech innovators to showcase how technology can accelerate green recovery. Finally, we encourage you to become a signatory of the Rebuild Green 2030 Declaration, which will be formally signed on July 12, 2025, at Sapienza University, in the presence of stakeholders and global partners committed to this mission.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us. Let’s meet in Rome — and rebuild Ukraine green, together.
